MOTORCYCLE CRASH NEAR LIDGERWOOD

A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT NORTH OF LIDGERWOOD SENT ONE MAN TO THE HOSPITAL.  THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON SATURDAY ABOUT 4 MILES NORTH OFLIDGERWOOD ON HIGHWAY 18 AT MILE MARKER 16.  THE RICHLAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAID 56 YEAR OLD KERMIT ANDERSON JUNIOR FROM LIDGERWOOD WAS TRAVELING SOUTH BOUND AND ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ONTO AN APPROACH. A MOTORCYCLE DRIVEN BY 49 YEAR OLD JOSEPH HORNER OF FARGO WAS ALSO TRAVELING SOUTHBOUND AND ATTEMPTED TO PASS THE TRACTOR CAUSING THE MOTORCYLE TO COLLIDE WITH IT.  HORNER WAS TAKEN TO A FARGO HOSPITAL BY LIDGERWOOD AMBULANCE WITH NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES.  THE LIDGERWOOD FIRE DEPARTMENT ALSO ASSISTED AT THE CRASH.  IT REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
