The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Wild River River in southeastern North Dakota until further notice.
The river was at 17.3 feet at Abercrombie on Saturday – or about 5 feet above moderate flood stage. The major flood level is 18 feet for the area.
The Red River in Wahpeton-Breckenridge was at 11.93 feet Saturday afternoon, but is predicted to rise back to 14.5 feet by Thursday afternoon. The Red has a major flood stage of 15 feet.
The Boise de Sioux river at Doran has riven over a foot and was at 20.79 feet Saturday.
Overland flooding is occurring along many place on both the Red and Wild Rice rivers.
The Otter Tail River in Breckenridge was measured at 9.3 feet Saturday, up just slightly from the past two days.
Additional rises may occur on all rivers due to runoff from the recent winter storm.
