Breckenridge, MN (VNL) "Fire investigators are looking for the cause of an early morning house fire that heavily damaged a Breckenridge, MN home.
The fire started early Wednesday morning at a home on the 800 block of 11th Street North. Smoke alarms alerted the family to the fire and the two adults, three teenagers and a dog were able to get out safely.
Officials say the home appears to be a total loss.
The American Red Cross is providing shelter for the family in a hotel, along with clothing and food.
The Red Cross says they will be reaching out to other community partners to help the family recover.
The investigation of the cause is focusing on the outside of the house. Fire officials say it may have been caused by a cigarette."
