FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Prosecutors have wrapped up their case in the trial of an Oklahoma man accused of hiring his handyman to kill his former son-in-law in North Dakota.
Gene Kirkpatrick of Jones, Okla., is facing charges on murder and burglary conspiracy charges.
Authorities say he paid Michael Nakvinda $3,000 to kill Fargo dentist Philip Gattuso. Kirkpatrick
says he never gave the final order.
The state rested Tuesday morning after testimony from Fargo police investigator Paula Ternes.
