According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, 24 year-old Jonathon Strege crashed his 2007 Chevy 2500 pickup into the Community Center, just after 2am on Saturday.
Strege then fled the scene in the pickup.
Strege later told authorities that he had lost control of the vehicle as it struck the building. There was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash but neither were injured.
A damage estimate for the Community Center is not yet available.
The crash remains under investigation, and charges are pending.
