A slow moving area of low pressure is expected to effect the Northern Plains for the first half of this week. Lots of moisture will move north from the Gulf of Mexico and will produce widespread heavy rainfall over the Southern Red River Valley.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch from Monday evening through Wednesday afternoon.
Widespread rains of 2 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts, could cause some rivers in the area to once again rise above flood stage. Widespread areal flooding is also possible in low lying areas.
