The National Weather Service in Aberdeen sent out 3 survey teams to look at storm damage in Marshall, Day, Roberts, Brown and Big Stone Counties.
The storms ripped through that area on Tuesday night, leaving a lot of damaged trees behind.
The National Weather Service confirms it was a weak tornado that touched down 7 miles southeast of Britton. Classified as an EF-0, with peak winds up to 85 mph, the tornado was only on the ground a short time, but did damage a lot of trees in that area.
The rest of the damage in that region was caused by straight-line winds estimated between 60 and 90 mph. Some areas reported rains between 2 and 5 inches, and golf ball sized hail.
