Valley City is the latest North Dakota community to get access to a disaster recovery center.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency on Tuesday was opening a center at the Barnes County Courthouse. It will be open through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

The temporary centers have been set up in several communities around the state this summer to provide assistance to North Dakota residents who have been affected by flooding.
