The man accused of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend in Doran will be on trial a week and a half later than expected.

44 year old Jeffrey Silvernail was set to stand trial yesterday in his 1st degree murder case.
A Wilkin County judge has now moved it back to September 21st.

Silvernail is accused of shooting 49 year old Lori Roberts in her home back in 2009. It took police nearly 10 months before arresting Silvernail. Roberts' family had been vocal from the day of the murder, saying Silvernail was the one responsible.

The judge in this case has now ordered everyone involved to stay quiet throughout the trial, saying anyone who talks publicly about the case could be arrested.
