ND Special Session

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The Republican leader of the North Dakota House says the Legislature's fall special session will start Nov. 7.

Rep. Al Carlson of Fargo and Republican Senate majority leader Rich Wardner of Dickinson say Gov. Jack Dalrymple set the official date on Wednesday.

Nov. 7 is a Monday, and Carlson says the session will begin at 9 a.m.

Dalrymple has not made an official announcement.

Republican legislative leaders met with the GOP governor on Wednesday to set the date. They're meeting in Bismarck to review legislative rules for the session.

The special session's agenda is expected to be taken up with debates on legislative redistricting, disaster relief, health insurance exchanges and the University of North Dakota's Fighting
Sioux nickname.
