An elderly Sisseton couple was injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-29 yesterday afternoon just north of the Hankinson exit.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, at 1:19 yesterday afternoon, a 2007 GMC Van driven by 70 year-old Victor Lambert of Pierson, Iowa, was headed north in the passing lane, when a 1999 Buick LeSabre driven by 79 year-old Elizabeth Rabenberg, of Sisseton, turned left in front of it, in an attempt to turn into a crossover, and was struck by Lambert’s vehicle.

Both Rabenberg, and her husband 82 year-old Maurice Rabenberg were taken to St. Francis with non-life threatening injuries.
