Wahpeton Police and Fire units were sent scrambling to 3 different fires in a half-hour period.



At approximately 5:16am Wahpeton Police on routine early morning patrol found a dumpster on fire in the alley behind Jiffy Lube and Wahpeton Video just off 7th Street North.

Shortly after discovering that, officers noticed an abandoned home on the corner of 7th Street and 2nd Avenue was on fire.

As units were responding to those 2 fires, a third report came in of a dumpster in the 1300 block of 11th Street North.

The state fire marshal will be called in to investigate. No injuries reported. Damage estimates are not available.
