A Wahpeton man charged with attempted murder appeared in Richland County District Court Tuesday morning.
23 year-old Patrick Wolfgram is charged in connection with the stabbing of 26 year-old Trista Martin early last Friday morning outside of Community Homes on the city’s north side.
In Tuesday's appearance, Wolfgram requested a court appointed attorney. Don Krassin has been assigned in Wolfgram’s defense.
The charge accuses Wolfgram of stabbing Martin several times in the back, neck, and head, causing severe wounds and a large loss of blood.

If convicted, Wolfgram faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Wolfgram’s next court appearance is November 3.
