WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) - A one-vehicle crash about two miles south of Watertown killed a teenage girl from the city.
The Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Bailey Appelhans was a passenger in a car that went off a gravel road and came to rest on its roof in a lake late Monday afternoon. Appelhans was pronounced
dead at a Watertown hospital.
Authorities say the 18-year-old driver of the car, Mason Sturm of Watertown, wasn't injured.
