BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota Democratic leaders say they haven't been consulted much about the Legislature's special session next week.
Republicans control the Legislature, and Republican Gov. Jack Dalrymple took GOP legislative leaders on a tour of Minot a week ago to inspect flood damage.
A disaster relief package is expected to be one of the major bills introduced during the special session.
Democratic House leader Jerry Kelsh asked Dalrymple to consult Democrats as well. Democratic leaders are taking part in a conference call with the governor Monday.
Kelsh says Dalrymple may need Democratic support during the session to get his proposals approved.
Democratic Senate leader Ryan Taylor says he wants to see how much agreement there is between Democrats and Republicans on a disaster relief measure.
