An off-duty West Fargo officer has been charged with disorderly conduct.

Court records show 41-year-old Allen Schmidt made an initial court appearance at Cass County District Court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge.

West Fargo Chief of Police Arland Rasmussen says in a news release that Fargo police officers arrested Schmidt around 2:20 a.m.

Rasmussen says West Fargo Police will review the criminal report before taking administrative action.

Schmidt was hired by the West Fargo Police Department in June 1995 and currently serves as an investigator.
