Wahpeton Police are gearing up to conduct increased seat belt enforcement through the Click It or Ticket campaign running now through Saturday January 21st.

Police Chief Scott Thorsteinson says despite the mild winter, this is the peak time for dangerous driving conditions. With all the things out of our control, buckling our seat belts is one thing we can do to protect ourselves.

Statistics from 2010 show that 71 percent of individuals killed in motor vehicle crashes in ND were not wearing their seat belts.
