The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued an "Extreme Cold Watch" from Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, bitterly cold temps will move in to our area on Wednesday night. Winds will increase to 10 to 20 mph causing bringing dangerous wind chills.
Temperatures are expected to drop to 15 to 20 below, with wind chills approaching 30 to 45 below zero.
With temperatures that cold, frostbite can occur in just minutes. Make sure that outdoor animals have warm shelter, and that you dress appropriately for the cold.
