Janklow Funeral

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The remembrances of former South Dakota Gov. Bill Janklow continue Wednesday morning with a funeral service in Sioux Falls.

Janklow, who served four terms as governor but resigned as South Dakota's lone congressman after causing a fatal traffic accident, died Thursday of cancer at the age of 72.

Hundreds are expected to fill Our Savior's Lutheran Church for the 10:30 a.m. service, which will feature a eulogy by former Sen. Tom Daschle. Gov. Dennis Daugaard and Janklow's son, Russ, are also scheduled to speak.

On Tuesday, hundreds filed past Janklow's flag-draped coffin in the Capitol rotunda in Pierre to pay their respects. Later that night, some 700 people attended an informal wake service at the Sioux Falls church.

Janklow will be buried in a private service at a later date.
