A home was heavily damaged by fire in Foxhome late Tuesday afternoon.

Shortly before 5, a passerby reported smoke coming from the roof of the residence located at 700 Main Street in Foxhome.

No one was home at the time of the fire.  The residence suffered extreme structural damage, and contents received smoke and water damage. 

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
